What is its effect on SEO?

I have a client that is using the above for cross-promotion. Here is the sample of the URL:

javascript: _nnClick('http://www.mysite.com/games/blocks.html')

Does this type of link effect SEO? I assume it passes no link equity? Please advise...

can you read that url, I can.

I can also write a script to read things my eyeball can't...

does Google use that for PR, maybe, maybe not. will they next week?

have you not seen in your logs that Google also grabs remote scripts?

I doubt very much that that sort of link/URL would be spidered by the SE's. So in that respect it certainly doesn't benefit the site you are linking to. But this may be the desired effect if it is an external site? I doubt that it would effect the rankings of your own site. Is that what you mean?
