Expression Web [microsoft.com]

Expression Web is now available as a free download from the Microsoft Download Center, and no new versions will be developed. Customers who previously purchased Expression Web will receive support through the established support lifecycle. Expression SuperPreview Remote Beta will continue running as a service through June 30, 2013.


Expression Web is a WYSIWYG editor that succeeded FrontPage. It's a fine stand alone HTML editor that produces standards compliant code.

As Microsoft is not continuing development you can download and use this product for free now.

This whole move to VS is interesting. So will Visual Studio be the tool to use instead of EW4? I'm not sure I get what MS is doing with regard to just plain old HTML and CSS site dev?
