Kompozer - how to edit php files using ubuntu? |

Does anybody know how to edit PHP files in Kompozer? I'm going to assume it's not possible at this point since I am having the most difficult time trying to find this answer, so I'll give webmasterworld a try. HTML files open up, but I get a message for PHP files asking me to either - *Open with
*Save to disk. Does anybody know what to do? I am using version 0.8a4

I'm not sure if you can in Kompozer. Why not use a plain text editor. I think that's what most of us use. I use scintilla, it has syntax highlighting and is open source... John

I recommend Kate. Among other things, like all KDE apps, it works very nicely with remote files. Scribes is nice too, as is Gedit. I think Quanta (part of kdewebdev) can be set up for PHP editing and debugging.

Most of these issues will disappear with an active dev server. Speaking from PERL, not PHP.

Quanta works just fine. Have been running it on Ubuntu for years, working with PHP, MySQL, HTML, etc. You can do just about anything with it.
