Editing a template area

Hi all,

I have been asked to edit a site for a friend, this is the first time I have brought down a site to Dreamweaver to edit as I normaly build from scratch.

Anyway, the site has come down with a template area at the top, where the logo and navigation is, and it wont let me edit the area.

I also have no .dwt file that has come down with the rest of the site.

How can i edit this top part please.

there are locked regions and editable regions of the template - my guess is thats a locked area.

can you get the .dwt ?

If you want to edit the site without the template to which all refers, then i would suggest finding all the template code - deleting it on the page, then do your edits, etc.

How many pages are you talking about ?

You should be able to edit the code in something other than dreamweaver.
