FrontPage Frames
removing frames

5+ Year Member

I have been using frontpage for about 2 years, a friend of mine uses it too, he has frames and now he has bought all the domain names like .com and co.uk some of them do not show the frames, what I would ideally like to do is remove the frames, is there a way to easily do this in frontpage? And how can I configure so that pages go to the new navigation page. The problem is occurring as he is using re-direct, from his first host, perhaps there is a way to format frames to account for the redirect. I know this is not very clear but hope someone can help.

Welcome, quartzy - There are some things I'm not clear on. When you say "some of them do not show the frames" do you mean that the frames and their content disappear, or do the frames simply scroll together with the rest of the page so that they become borders rather than frames? And when you say you want to remove the frames, which of those options do you mean? Also, could you describe what the problem is with the redirects - that is, what's happening that you don't want to happen?

I don't know that I have any answers for you, but since your post has been sitting here awhile, I'm guessing people might need some more information in order to be of help.

ETA: It could also be helpful if you tell us which version of FrontPage you're using.

In some browsers the frames pages with the nav links does not show ie dissapears, so I thought if there was a way to remove the frames entirely and have a nav page maybe I could do that. Trouble is I am not sure how to go about it.
