Dreamweaver to CMS

 6:16 pm on Mar 1, 2007 (gmt 0)

I would like to make the switch to a CMS (Fantastico Installed) because I like the integration of features, although I'm used to designing templates in Dreamweaver, does anyone have any suggestions as to which CMS would be the best choice...

Thank your for your reply...I did create a post on that site, but I'm still waiting on a reply, wherein I would like to rephrase my question: Do you know of a free Template Generator for CMS?

There are so many CMS programs out there that it would not make sense to have a single generator for them all. Some CMS packages have their own template packages. For example MovableType has their own style library [sixapart.com]. Other packages have their own. Not all CMS packages have this, so if that's an issue for you then you should check out their offerings in advance. The link dreamcatcher posted above is one of the best places to start.

So far I've tried Drupal (and the changes to default themes are limited). I'm looking for something more versatile that comes with themes of varing styles that can be changed.

I researched Joomla and Mambo, but I'm not sure if they have a Theme Generator built into the system, although they do have external software that is limited.

Do you know of any CMS with multiple default themes that can be manipulated (graphics, menus, and more)?
