Affiliate links / broken links?
Links work fine in clicks but perceived as broken links by Frontpage

Hello, I don't know if anyone has the same problem. I use Frontpage to write the pages for my affiliate site. Several merchants use this format "http://www.abc.com/abc.htm?http://www.abc.com/1234.htm" as redirect link (I like redirect link as I can send the customers to a particular page instead of the homepage).

I test the links, they work fine in clicks but when I ask Frontpage to verfify the hyperlinks, they show up as broken links as the program only tests the first part of the link "http://www.abc.com/abc.htm" and not the entire link (including the?http://..... part). So would search engines consider these links as broken links as well and affect the ranking?

I am not sure about Google and Yahoo but I am pretty sure that this is the reason for MSN to remove my index page. Whenever I add such a hyperlink, my homepage will disappear from MSN. If I remove it, it will show up again after a while.

Any comments and suggestions?
