IE Uses rel=alternate RSS Feed Title as Page Title?

I have this in the head of many of my site pages:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Title of Feed" href="http://www.example.com/newsfeed.rss" />

In IE, whatever page that code is on, it shows "Title of Feed" as the browser title rather than the stuff that is between the <title> tags.
