This is very cool. html and css validation in one pass.

Press release [w3.org...]
Unicorn combines a number of popular tools in a single, easy interface, including the Markup validator, CSS validator, mobileOk checker, and Feed validator, which remain available as individual services as well.

Validator [validator.w3.org...]

(Thanks for the link, @jbinbpt!) My finding: doesn't work as I'd prefer on *local* files. E.g., can't fetch external css picked up via < link... with relative href.

I get this:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /unicorn/.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Apache/2 Server at validator.w3.org Port 80

Guess they've been slashdotted, or whatever the term is thesedays.

@Jester.

I got the same message, until I included the http:// but then it failed because it wasn't an rss feed, so something else wrong.

In general I like the new changes however the CSS validation is still fail.

Really, the (X)HTML validator can determine what version of (X)HTML the page is using so why after all these years can't the CSS validator do the same?

Any way besides the ongoing CSS validator fail I rate this as a general win. :)

Nice. I just hope that all of the legacy links to the various validators still continue to work indefinitely.
