Hi,

Does somebody know where can I find some statistics about the expected popup blockers for each browser and about how many times different browsers blocked popups?

Thanks,

Norbert.

Hello Norbert, and welcome to the forums.

I haven't run into that kind of study - perhaps because there would be so many variations. It would be interesting to see, but I'm noy even sure what actions I would be able to take based on it.

I do know this much - there's a whole lot of pop-up blocking going on today.

Moreover people hate pop-ups that they did not initiate via a click. So even if there's no blocker: the human will hate you for it, just don't do it.

One might look at the scope of installed browsers with popup blocking capability AND the plugins for all the others... and that metric can usually be determined by looking at the number of downloads for each. Both represent a fairly large number!

Did my browser block the popup or did the firewall catch it first?

As Tedster says, there are so many variations.
