IE Compatibility & Head Section
Forcing IE Compatibility leads to 2 head sections - SEO impact?

We are having issues with IE8 and are using a Force Compatibility to resolve this issue.
This requires a snippet to be placed immediately following the <head> call.
However, we also use a CMS system that auto populates a snippet below the <head>.

To resolve we have created to <head></head> sections but are unsure of any SEO considerations.

Is this harmful? Or does anyone know any workarounds..

Thanks,

I guess you'll have the same issues you have in IE8 in all other browsers as well (or not?)

I really don't get the "force IE7 mode" thing unless the site was broken in standards compliant browsers already.

Why not just fix the problem itself instead of breaking the document even more by having 2 head sections?

thanks - we are eventually going to make sure it is compliant but we wanted to do a quick fix..
