I have copied a complete website from one hosting folder to another. The whole site works in the original hosting folder but i have problems in the new folder.
The issue is with some images not showing, in one instance 2 images are side by side. One shows and one doesn't. The url for both the images are the same except for the image name. I have checked for typos and i can't see anything wrong.
Can somebody please shed some light on this for me, thanks
The whole site is hosted on a webserver, all i'm trying to do is put the site into a new folrder on the webserver. I've tried other copies of the images but it's the same every time, the same ones fail to display
Is the new folder same level as the previous? Are you using relative or absolute paths to the images? Are the images located in the same folder as the calling html?
I've got it now. It was a complete copy of a fully working site. Somewhere in the download and upload to the new folder the image files got corrupted. It all looked fine on my machine but when a colleague tried to view the images they wouldn't open. Also filezilla was uploading in ascii mode and not auto.
