I'm creating a site from a template and want to try to find the HTML code to be able to click on any of a number of thumbnail images (eg, one called thumbNail.jpg) to open a new window displaying a larger image (called largeImage.jpg)

I'd also like to be able to run a sort of slideshow to show the other images

Can I ask for help here please and ideally the actual code

Thanks, Stephen

Opening a single image would just use a normal link or you could use javascript to size the window.
Slide shows can be done with javascript. There are plenty of free script libriaries that will find you something.

Without doing a little research I am not sure about opening multiple images. At a guess a check box beside each thumbnail and build an array of boxes checked and use the array to drive your display. I don't know if javascript or php would be better, I have never tried it myself.

Try looking at the examples at Dynamic Drive. They include the code as well.
