Setting up a 'bookmark us' link?

 5:03 pm on Dec 19, 2007 (gmt 0)

How do I do this?

I've yet to find a good one that is cross browser compatible.

The only one I could find that actually works in both FF and IE6+7 has the issue of causing the bookmarked link to open in the SIDEBAR in firefox....

Hmm..Could you post the code or give me a lead on how to do this?

Thanks for the reply.

Just search for "bookmark script" on your favorite search engine. Most of them use javascript.

I found one that seems to work in ie6 and 7, firefox, and netscape. It doesn't seem to work in opera or safari for the pc.

It took me a long time to find it actually.

<a href="javascript:bookmarksite('Site title', 'http://www.example.com')">Bookmark this site!</a>

And in the head section -
<script type="text/javascript">
function bookmarksite(title, url){
if (document.all)
window.external.AddFavorite(url, title);
else if (window.sidebar)
window.sidebar.addPanel(title, url, "")
