Just some simple advice
mobile ready, not flash

I am looking to build an application that allows users to create a custom lacrosse head. They would select strings and mesh (several colors) and I want pictures to load onto the screen so they see what they are creating.

I'd prefer not to use flash (so it can be apple friendly) - but I am hungry for advice and a bit stuck. I'm not sure if this is possible through the html5 canvas, or simply by overlaying png images with transparent backgrounds.

I truly appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance, oh kind and wise sages of the internet.
