I want to add a video/media player to my website as well as giving my client a choice of videos to watch through th eplayer, which would be listed to the left or right of the player. Example link below from ITV (although I want to substitute their channel lists for my video selction)

any ideas on how this could be achieved ? Whether html or easier altenrative, not bothered, just racing against time to get this finished and have no idea where to turn.

I would do it with Flash. Easiest and most supported unless you worry about iPhone/iPad users.

Any of the usual script hosts should have a selection of players in different flavors.
