A search [google.co.uk] on Google should bring up some interesting stuff. There are a number of free stock sites. However, some of the paid stock sites do offer better selections and for as little as $1 you can probably get a much better quality image. dc

I've got a question along similar lines. I've noticed that in many cheap image site terms & conditions it states that if you edit the picture in any way you have to place text next to the image giving credit to the original author. Is there any site that doesn't require that you do this? I prefer to obtain my images legally but more often than not I'm going to Photoshop the bejeezus out of them.

You might check out photo cds at a local computer shop (sometimes buried is a clearance bin) and even places like Zellers or Walmart. My best find was one disc with 10,000 royalty free images for 4.99.

Hi Murdoch, Modesty and the rules of this forum forbid me from pointing you at the site that I run that has no special rules to do with editing of our (free) images. Providing a credit is in any case not compulsory, though obviously welcome. I cannot believe that my site is alone in this. Rgds Damon
