Fireworks CS3 Exporting (CSS)
(A solution to a closed topic)

I am a newbie to CSS, and when I was researching an issue with Fireworks exporting CSS I came across this site, or rather this thread in particular:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Unfortunately the thread is closed without what I regard as an adequate solution, so hear it is: (you experts may laugh, but trawling through the CS3 help pages offered no solution)

The Problem was - I could export my page in slices as html, but when I tried to export as css the layout changed, and there was no CSS file!

When I included the parent object of a nested table as a slice, the CSS export option worked ok but the non-css html export option no longer split the graphic into the correct slices. I still don't understand why this happened but at least it works for me now!

BUT most importantly, something that the Adobe help never mentionned which some of you will think is so simple, but those of us still learning might not - The CSS was exported as part of the html file, not as a separate CSS file (which would be more logical surely?)

I hope someone will find this useful
