| Any software to flip image in z-axis

msg:3178465 | 10:05 am on Dec 5, 2006 (gmt 0) | Hello, I want to do a "Door Open" animation. I am thinking to do it that way: 1. Draw a door in plan view (180 degree). 2. Use a software to "flip" the door in or out the monitor, i.e. z-axis (e.g. 160 degree, 140 degree, 120 degree, 100 degree, 90 degree). 3. combine the images to form the animation. Are there any softwares that can "flip" image in z-axis? Thanks and best regards Alex

msg:3179762 | 9:35 am on Dec 6, 2006 (gmt 0) | Hi Alex298 There are multitude of design packages out there that will enable you to create animations - something relatively simple like this could be created in any image editor, combined as frames and exported as an ani gif. But this wouldn't give you a great 3d render unless you put many hours in - but for a pictorial style animation it'd be fine to use image ready, fireworks, GIMP etc... But if you are looking for something a bit special you might want to consider a rich media environment, like a flash file created from 3dstudio max or Director where you can better control the way light, texture and shadow fall on your door when it opens. What's your goal?
