I am completely new to adobe illustrator and creating vector graphics.
I know a little bit about using paths from photoshop but thats about it, so I need a good tutorial aimed at complete beginners to get me started in illustrator. Preferably a free web based one. Ive tried searching in google but I cant find any good ones.

If anyone has got any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Best thing: just play! There's nothing wrong in that! What I also suggest is getting this book:

[peachpit.com...]

It's really worth it!

I suggest getting a book also. You can't find tutorials for every aspect of a software.
Most tutorials assume you know the program already.
Illus. Bible is great. It covers Everything.
You can read it, study it, underline important things....
