msg:4083204 | 11:16 pm on Feb 18, 2010 (gmt 0) | Hi, I know re-finding probably isn't the right word, at all, but I cant think of the right one now (am German). My PC just shut down unexpectedly...and I had about...well 30 IE windows open with notes... (I know that was silly and I won't do it again) I didnt save my IE history and was hoping that if I type in www.google.com or www.google.de I would be able to see what I had typed in (all the www.google.com/.... urls I visited by typing things into the search boxes). However, that didn't work. If I type in www.otherdomainsIvisited.com , I *do* see all those subpages, however....? Why do the other pages show, but Google doesnt? I don't get it ;-(. will appreciate any help, thanks!

msg:4083219 | 11:44 pm on Feb 18, 2010 (gmt 0) | Thanks, I did just that and had a very strange experience lol ;(: I did see a bunch of files and sorted (=expanded?) them for google search html files. I was able to find a few (5 or so) of the 30 windows from today (have files since the 17.2. in that folder). I opened them and copied my notes. ...and then..I dont recall how that happened...but then w/o my deleting anything (Im sure!), now I have a lot less files in that folder all of a sudden? Mostly cookie-type files. The only thing that could help me find the google searches I did, I assume...are...html-files, right? But why in the world do I see fewer files now than I did 5-10 minutes earlier? anything to do with my opening some of those files (the google-search html files)?

msg:4083225 | 11:59 pm on Feb 18, 2010 (gmt 0) | The Google Dashboard tool will only show me what searches I did with my account, not what google stores based on me IP address I assume (as others could be using it..if someone switched providers...), right? EDIT: have restored(?) those files..thanks for the help, anyhow :-)

msg:4083325 | 5:02 am on Feb 19, 2010 (gmt 0) | This is really strange (at least to me). I was only able to find google-html search windows for 11 on the windows i had open (about 30). And I have restored files for..the past 3 days. I assume everything doesnt get restored if you use an application for that, but just some of it? What I find even more strange though is that www.googl... typing it in into the browser bar didnt show any of the subpages that should have been in my hisotry - considering i hadnt deleted it the history, and that it did show all the subpages for other domains..weird
