GSearch is undefined

so i am trying to implement google search into my site.

the entire site is https.

i am getting a JS error "GSearch is undefined"

GSearch.setOnLoadCallback(OnLoad);

ive tried several searches for this and have not found even a lead as to what could be causing this...seems to happen in IE8
