PR4 to PR0 at end of August
Site went from PR4 to PR0

Hi,

At the end of August one of my sites went from showing a PR4 in the toolbar to a PR0. Was there a toolbar PR update at the end of August or was it just me? I thought the last one was in April.

My initial reaction was that something was wrong with the site but it was still showing in Google's index. In fact since September it has started rise in the rankings and do a lot better!

Anyone have any ideas? Does it spell trouble ahead or is it just a Google glitch?

Maybe a site glitch.

Toolbar PR is a 'snapshot' of pages at some time about three months or more ago. If your server was playing games, or you were changing the site, or it didn't smile for the camera, then pages could be missed.

Unless this thread gets a torrent of late entries, I suspect it's just one of those things.

But if the rankings are OK, the you've probably nothing to worry about.
