Google Free? Google Co-op? I'm boggled.
Which do I want to do an in-site search?

Howdy -
Newbie here - can you point me in the right direction?
Trying to compare Google Free and Google Co-op and have ended up hopelessly muddled.

My aim is this: redesigning a site which needs a search function. One-person web shop, not a programmer, so in a previous (but unrelated) site I used Google Free.
Should I continue using Google Free for NextSite.com? Should I switch to Google Co-op?

NextSite doesn't have a partner site or anything, just want people to be able to be able to find what they want within NextSite.

Thanks for any advice.

I haven't used Google Free for a while but I just added Google Co-op. It seems to me I have more options with
co-op. Options in terms of being able to change the width of the search box and things like that. Also I can set it so the ads are only on the side. I really don't want people to have to wade through several ads before they get down to my site results.

Exactly. Use Google Co-op, it is quite cool and should meet your needs. And the time to get up and running is faster than you might think.

Cheers,
