Hello WebmasterWorld, I'm pretty new to Google Merchant Center, but I've noticed that reviews seem to be very important in ranking well lately. I have a review strategy in place - we have many happy customers, and we're able to offer a discount as an incentive to get customers to review their experience with our store.
The problem is, I'm having some issue figuring out which review sources we should focus on. I've read all of the following can influence Google reviews, but I hoping anyone with some experience here could point me in the right direction of which ones to focus on. thanks!
Shopping.com, Shopzilla [which uses Bizrate for surveys] and Nextag all syndicate with Google Shopping and can be pretty large revenue channels themselves for your business, so rotating them on your order confirmation page will give you good coverage online.
Hey CPC_Andrew - Thank for the reply. I think we're going to start with hand written requests (we really only get about 10 orders a day). As for the suggested review sources, would you say the few you listed are the most important?
We get the most ratings by far from Reseller Ratings, but that is because it is the one we push. We also pushed Pricegrabber for a while (6 months), and got 1 review in that whole time. Resellerratings we have close to 100 after 4 months.
