text vs product listing ads |

Product listing ads are working efficiently for me however, my text ads are no longer working as well compared to historical norms.
I am having a hard time determining how the PLA are effecting text ads.
Anyone with experience with this phenomenon? How do you go about optimizing campaigns with this additional variable?
