True and False in Search Query Report?
Search Query Report

 10:09 pm on Aug 8, 2012 (gmt 0)

Hey all,
New Member here ;)

So, recently (last couple months?) I have been seeing 'true' and/or 'false' in the search term column with the intended (or unintended) search term of the user.
Little Red Widgets True
Large False Blue Widgets

Has anyone else noticed this?
If so, what are they?
Is it possibly G's interpretation of a '+' or '-' sign possibly?

Welcome to the forum!

Martin, a top notch ppc'er, did a little sleuthing and wrote about this on his blog at [ppc-epiphany.com...]

He believes 'true' and 'false' are bugs from Search Partners like Ebay:

The inclusion of parameters like true and false is probably a bug and makes for some strange looking queries.

Good to know.
I will have to look at how that traffic converted overall when I'm done doing this months Neg. KWD mining - what fun! (I'm on line 2496 of 26017)

Anyways Thanks!
