Adwords fake conversion? What happened?
| 7:30 pm on Jun 18, 2012 (gmt 0)|
I saw today a conversion on this week for a campaign that positively didn't convert.
That is awfull, first, because that means is a fake conversion, so if that one is fake, how about the others on my other campaigns, that I used to trust in order to spend money on my campaigns?
The reason I can be sure is fake is I only send a link to that page, when a sale is made. And I positively didn't sell one single service for the campaign is showing that conversion.
Assuming is just an error, I don't want to see that conversion there anymore. Is there a way to delete that conversion?

I keep seeing new false conversions. Anybody experienced such a thing?

+You can't delete that data once it's been imported in AdWords.
+Depending on hos the logic works on that page, someone who has clicked in your ad, then visited that page, could fire the script... like your webamster, or mayeb even you. :-) Use the Dmiensions tab to drill down into these conversions, see if their coming from your city, etc.
+Go into the Conversions Module, dig around, you'll be able to find the pages that the script is firing from - make sure it's located where you want it to be located at. If you delete that conversion, data will stop flowing forever, from that numbered conversion script. If the old one somehow got out into the wild, delete, recreate new, and replace.
