| New AdWords Location Targeting Tool - no way to exclude areas

Has anyone noticed the new location targeting tool in AdWords which now incorporates reach into the figures (we have no idea where they are getting this 'reach' figure from!)
Does anyone else find it really difficult to find how to exclude areas now, or is it just us? Took 10 minutes for us to work it out!

you might have been trying to do something right as they rolled out some changes:
