Has anyone else experienced call stats on adwords not matching up to actual phone calls received. Our stats on google adwords are showing that we receive approx 25 calls a day from advertising our office phone number with our ads. In reality - we only receive around 2 or 3 phone calls a day.
Is this a case of the stats gathered by adwords being incorrect or is there a much more simple explanation such as people accidentally clicking/tapping on the phone number and cancelling the call?
Thats a new one on me, please post any details, we just started doing this again and I had reservastions about it anyway. I wonder if they are counting abandon calls to the cost? We know that Google has OK clck fraud detection, but has that been migrated over to the click to call yet? We played with it a few montyhs ago and stopped, but started it up again. I will see idf there is any data i can unearth on this subject too.
By all means give it a shot. In our market the calls are relatively inexpensive, just a few pence so it isnt costing us badly in monetary terms - just when it comes to reporting back how many enquiries we have generated
