Google announced today that it will soon start to allow advertisers to target the registered trademarks of other companies in their keyword list.

[adwords.google.com...]

This applies only to the inclusion of the trademark in the keyword list. Google continues to make an effort to protect registered trademarks from being used in the ad text. Is this the same in the US and UK?

I would be interested to know how this change affected the UK market? Given that the trademark is still protected in ad text, you'd expect the impact to be fairly small... or not?
