do you advertise with google adwords?
if so that is probably from one of your ads being clicked on.

Well I did a year ago, then gave up because I found it too expensive and too complicated. I never got to grips with keywords.

Then I realised I had a $75 credit so I thought I might as well use it up and to hell with the click prices.

So I went in yesterday and made a few changes.

So now it looks like I have had three hits from there !

I did look at my adwords campaign but could not see any hits. I think they are a day or so behind ie not real time.

Now, if I could just get some sales.... I might keep on doing it.

Thanks for that.

That's the AdWords game in a nutshell! :)

We need to come at the challenge from several directions, and the way they interact can be a balancing act sometimes.

1) Create effective ads.
2) Get those ads in front of well-targeted eyes.
3) Create landing pages / sales funnel that make it easy, obvious and attractive for users to do what you want.
4) Tweak, test and improve.
5) Tweak, test and improve some more.

You forgot #6: Hope you don't trip some automated filter in the algo that results in your account getting canned.

Anybody who would base their business on adwords is as foolish as those who would base it on Googles organic traffic.

Play with it and get what you can out of it, but realize Google don't want you and don't need your money so they could kick you to the curb at any time for no reason.

Google may not need my money.
But Adwords is where they get most of their money is it not ?
