Google ads definitely don't have to play by the same rules. Look at the term mortgage. Google comparison ads go past the normal text limits. I can't imagine that the follow some rules but not all the rules. If their doing this in the mortgage vertical, I'm sure other areas are soon to follow. I shifted my money for my mortgage accounts away from Google since, they get an unfair advantage. I will do the same with any other industry they enter.
