|AdWords account vanished|
Just dissapeared without any warnings. Support team unwilling to help.
I've had Google AdWords account for several years. I created it before the unified Google Account came into play. Since Google Account came into play I have converted my AdWords account to my main Google Account (Gmail).
The AdWords account showed up under the Google Account dashboard for a while and have worked. A few days ago, I login into my Google Account dashboard, click on AdWords (that is clearly listed as one of the services I use) and I get the following error message:
|You're signed in to Google Accounts under the email firstname.lastname@example.org and your Google Account password, but this is not a valid AdWords login. If you're an AdWords advertiser, try signing in using your AdWords email and password. |
I tried logging in straight into the Google AdWords interface, same thing. I tried using my old login, same thing.
What the hell is going on?
Emailing support resulted in a bunch of automated messages. No resolution. My account is very old, and even if it's not very active, I still have history in it. I want it back!
At AdWords sign in page, there is a link: Can't access your account?
Check the options carefully, and see if that could help you.
Other then that, support should be able to help, via email or via phone.
I went through this in the past, and got it fixed, with the help of support person.
The support link basically says what I already know:
|While your login email address and password are correct for your Google Account, your AdWords account is not associated with that Google Account. |
It is. I already used it from that account. I keep all my accounts in Roboform, and there is no way I can get this confused.
|To fix this, trying signing in to AdWords at [adwords.google.com...] with the same AdWords login you used in the past instead of the Google Account you recently created. When you're asked to update your AdWords login, follow the steps provided. During this process, choose 'Yes, I have a Google Account' and 'Yes, Replace my AdWords login with my existing Google Account.' When you're done, you should be able to sign in to AdWords using your current Google Account login and password. |
I already used my Google Account to login into AdWords, and it worked.

Phone tells me to use online support. When I go to online support, here is a kicker. The support form asks for Account ID, which is prefilled with my ID. Support claims that this ID is invalid and I should look for another one "from our previous communication". I don't have any previous communication and don't know what my ID is. This was my reply, I haven't heard from them since. It's been a few days already.
If you have the reply from Google, have you tried to reply back explaining how you could not get it fixed?
