this is a very welcome change, especially in the world of marketing agencies where jobs tend to come and go quickly. It will be nice to be recognized as AdWords qualified even after being booted from managing a company account.

I advise caution on this though.
I have expressed my frustrations in another thread. There is still significant confusion about the way this actually works from users and Adwords Support (in Ireland). I have been round in circles on this matter!
Google doesn't recognise people but logins. From here I become confused because I, a GAP Qualified user, can link to a company MCC but this breaks ties with the account that i built up the time and spend with.
If you have made this new setup work, please please PLEASE let us know how!

I noticed that my cert if for 2 years when did that happen. I thought it was for 1 year.
I have 2 certs. A personal one and one for the company I worked for. The one at the company is newer. Can I merge the two?

I think it's always been two years. My history says I took it in 2005, 2007 and 2009.

Due to Google's advice I have my certified MCC account using a separate login to my main Google account. I wish I could move my certification to my main Google account. It would make things easier, but I don't think this new change allows that.
