Placement Report Not Matching Content Impressions
What's up? Why don't I see where the other 4k impressions are from?

I've been using the placement report in Google AdWords (love it) to restrict what sites my content network runs on. Optimizing spend and impressions. Going well until recently I realized that the report showed a low number of impressions in relation to what shows in AdWords.

I split out my campaigns into content and non-content, so I know how many impressions I'm supposedly getting. On the 17th, I show 4,753 impressions on my content campaign. The Placement Report shows 677 impressions that day - and the regular campaign had 2576 (thought that might have something to do with it, but nope).

Anyone else seeing this? Testing this here before I post about it. :)

I recently asked my rep about that and here was the response:

Due to the large volume of data a Placement Performance report can
include, there are several factors that can affect the data that you see
in the reports. If you notice a discrepancy between the Placement
Performance report and the content totals in your account statistics,
please consider the following:

1. The Placement Performance report can take more time to update than your account statistics. We recommend you run this report after 3 p.m. PST to get the most accurate metrics for the previous day.

2. Statistics from some properties that are a part of the Google content
network may not be included in the Placement Performance report.

3. Sites that have accrued a negligible number of impressions per day may not be included in your report.
