914 keyword(s) are currently inactive for search.
Any way to quickly activate 914 inactive phrases?

I just added 2000 keyphrase buys in Adwords and now I see that 941 are inactive.

Adwords wants me to pay a nickel more per bid to activate( a dime in some cases, etc.), which I'm reluctantly willing to do.

What I'm not willing to do is manually edit 914 bids in order to activate them.

Is there some way to automatically agree to upgrade all 914 bids to their suggested amount to activate these phrases?

Thanks for your help on this.

Yes.

In the Adwords Editor Tool just sort by min bid...they'll likely all be grouped together -- just select the rows, enter the new bid and upload.

That doesn't work, or I misunderstood.

If you sort by bid, you lose the visibility of the inactive bids. I have to sort by Status to view the bid suggestions that will activate the bids and then there is no easy way to update them all with a single click.

Google, please edit this warning box:

264 keyword(s) are currently inactive for search.
These keywords are marked in the Status column of the Keywords tab below. Improve their quality through optimization, delete them, or raise the keywords' bids to the minimum bids indicated. (Raising the bids to at least the minimum will activate the keywords.)

Make it say

264 keyword(s) are currently inactive for search.
These keywords are marked in the Status column of the Keywords tab below. Improve their quality through optimization, delete them, or raise the keywords' bids to the minimum bids indicated. (Raising the bids to at least the minimum will activate the keywords.) Click here to review our bid suggestions and activate all inactive keywords.

Right now, you are forcing me to go in and tediously update these bids to get them active. I have several ad groups where I need to do this, so it is a serious pain. I'm trying to give you money! Make it easy for me to do that.

I figured out a decent way to do this...in case anybody else is trying to figure this out. It's not obvious or intuitive at all.

Go to an Ad Group, click on Search This List and specify Inactive for Search in the Status field.

Submit and you get a list of all your inactive keyphrases.

Click the checkbox that checks every keyphrase in your search result.

Now click on Edit Keyword Settings.

There's a non-obvious pull down that says "Prefill All Keywords"

Change that pulldown to "Increase all CPCs to Minimum" and all your bids will automatically be set to the necessary activation bid.

Click Save Changes and you are done.
