Fix the CPA ads! (from the point of view of an AdSense publisher) The categories aren't being utilized correctly (in Automotive, for example, there are self storage, plumbing supplies, website design, mailing list brokers, and other non-automotive ads) and as I write this right now, none of my referral ads are even running on my sites - just big blank spots. So I commented them all out. Who benefits from that?

I am extremely glad to see a new 'Features' thread start. Many thanks HitProf. I'll certainly pass your comments along as usual, in the weekly Advertiser Feedback Report - which has a very wide subscribed readership here at Google.

Aside to netmeg: I have already passed your comments regarding PPA from another WebmasterWorld thread along to the right team. To put it rather bluntly, since you most often seem happy or satisfied with how AdWords works for you, I take your comments about what is not working very seriously. In fact I said exactly that in my email to the PPA team a short time ago.

So thanks, as always, for your comments - whether positive or negative. Please know that they are being heard, as will be all comments/suggestions posted in this thread.

You know what would be a WAY COOL addition to the AdWords Editor (and one I don't for a minute expect would come, but it sure would be nice) would be a TIMER. I would love to have a way to know how much time I spend in each account - it would help no end in billing clients.

AWA

I use both systems in various applications.

Ditto what netmeg said.

As a Publisher my wallet is bleeding and I don't know how long I can take it!

Also I am sure Advertisers are loosing valuable conversions, something needs to be done.

(Sorry edit reason losing not loosing or shoud I say loooooooosing)

Sorry I couldn't take it any longer, 100 adblocks switched back to CPC. I'd rather have lesser clicks on the second Adblock than have no revenue at all for almost a 24 hour period.

Sorry about crying "the sky is falling" over here guys but some of us were starting to panic, blank adblocks for an entire day. (I am sure that was not good for the advertisers either)

Well, the problem has been addressed and fixed (at least on my sites) and AWA has left us a comforting message in the Adsense forum.

We now resume our regularly scheduled program.

NOTE: off topic to main purpose of the thread. Earlier, netmeg wrote:

netmeg, I have received word that this is now resolved, so things should be back to normal on this point.

OK, now, back to feature requests and suggestions. ;)

AWA

<added> Just noticed Khensu's post - thanks for that, Khensu. ;) </added>

Search Query Performance Report - I love this new report, but the information on exact keywords is redundant for my needs (I kinda already know which keywords triggered clicks on exact keywords!)

It would be very useful to be able to filter out exact keywords from this report.

I would like to see frequency capping for both cpc and cpm. It will be nice to see that my ads aren't displayed over and over again to people that aren't interested in my services, and therefore I can prevent low ctr and I can also bet more. It will be a win-win.

- Add "Impression Share" on Adgroup and Keyword level
- Fix the dismiss link for announcement for "search query report"

There's a very long post in the AdSense forum about Referrals that I think contains some useful concerns and criticisms that Google (as well as some of the advertisers) should probably see. AWA, you might want to include it in your report, if you haven't already.

Many thanks for the latest additions to this thread, all of which will go into this evening's Advertiser Feedback Report.

Still plenty of time to add additional comments before the report goes out (I'd guess at least 12 hours) so please feel free.

On my Placement Reports, whether viewed in HTML or downloaded to csv, I don't get the entire urls - if they are long, they are truncated with an ellipsis. I would really like to have the actual entire url. I realize that we can block sites by domain, but I want to SEE exactly where the ad showed before I make my decision on whether or not to block the site.

For that matter, I don't know why those urls can't be made clickable. (Maybe because of tracking url issues?)

Separate budgets for search and content networks. Traffic on content is vastly more volatile in terms of both volume and quality than on search. It would be good to be able to limit exposure to this volatility.

Excellent.

You all have filled out the "FROM an ONGOING WebmasterWorld THREAD on REQUESTED FEATURES" section of the Advertiser Feedback Report very nicely this week. ;)

Still time for more - at least another hour.

Thanks again!

Please, please change your mind and do not remove the 'Copy or Move Keywords and Ad Text' and 'Advanced Search and Editing' tools!

I'm still having issues in the AdWords Editor when I have a Search Network campaign of which I make an exact copy and then turn the copy into a Content Network campaign - I have all kinds of problems when I try to remove the Max Content CPC from the Search campaign and the Max Search CPC from the Content campaign - it always tells me I can't change them, because I've turned that option off - so why won't it let me at least DELETE the bid?

Strongly requested from Adwords API users:

- Keyword ID in "Keyword Performance" report
- {match} for dynamic insertion of match type

(But Keyword ID is the far more important)

I've just included all the latest suggestions in the Advertiser Feedback Report, which will be sent in about 12 to 14 hours.

As you can see, there's still plenty of time for more additions. And plenty of space in the report as well. ;)

As always, many thanks.

I'd like to be able to use IDN Domains for the display URL for clients.
I am also going to ask my AdWords rep here in Tokyo.
A lot of Google services are already IDN Domain compatible I'd like to be able to put native Japanese domains for the display URLs.

If for example my IDN Campaign site is Widgets.jp (Native Japanese characters) & the users are searching for Widgets Hotel the CTR would be great because the domain is the same as the keyword.

clients come and go, sometimes their choice and sometimes mine. but the emailed reports keep coming. i have one past client where i forgot to remove my email from their reports before i severed my MCC link, so i still get their reports. i've told the client the situation and they're clueless as to how to change things. i fear that in the future someone will accuse me of "spying" on their performance somehow since i still receive reports...

to fix it, i'd have to reinitate an MCC link, edit the reports, then sever the link again... i am thinking if i ask them (my old contact is gone), it'll be perceived as weird (as were my requests to them for them to remove my emails from their reports)...

when a mcc link is severed, can there be a prompt asking if you'd like to be removed from their emailed reports that have been configured, give me a chance to remove emails from a list.

or can there be a link in the email itself that allows me to choose to stop receiving the configured (scheduled) reports at this email address.

I would love to see Adwords perform an automatic check to see if the domain in the display URL of an ad matches the domain of the landing page. If there is a mismatch, it could notify an Ad Approval person to check it manually.

When an ad is within the requirements, show the complete ad in the Adwords Editor 'Ad Preview' window. Even if the characters fit, the line is cut short with a '...' denoting the text that is longer than able to be shown. This makes me unnecessarily paranoid.

can we get an indicator showing new image ad's status as "pending approval", would help users figure out to just sit tight.

Important, IMPORTANT ... anyway, for me, it would be a major improvement I would be using right away.

Allow us to select with CPA-actions are associated with the CPA-Campaign.

Example of what is wrong:
I have multiple sites, one is a newsletter subscription, the other one, I sell items and the third one I also sell other type of items. When creating my 3 campaigns ... I noticed that I could not associate actions to specific campaign.
So the Adsense Publisher get something like this:
Campaign 1:
Newsletter website
-Get paid 0.50 per subscription
-Get paid 5$ per sale
-Get paid 50% per sale

Campaign 2:
Item for sale
-Get paid 0.50 per subscription
-Get paid 5$ per sale
-Get paid 50% per sale

Campaign 3:
Item for sale
-Get paid 0.50 per subscription
-Get paid 5$ per sale
-Get paid 50% per sale

WHAT I would like is:
Campaign 1:
Newsletter website
-Get paid 0.50 per subscription

Campaign 2:
Item for sale
-Get paid 5$ per sale

Campaign 3:
Item for sale
-Get paid 50% per sale

I'm just now setting up my MCC for the consolidated billing program. These fixes would make the process much easier and less error-prone.

- Allow the 'no end date' option under the initial 'add a budget' screen (currently, it's only an option if you modify your original settings)

- Add commas to the budget amount field - helpful with BIG numbers

- Once you add a budget, you get kicked back out to the MCC screen... allow setting all budgets from one screen
