Google is a mess. I have been using AdWords for almost five years. Have spent close to $6,000 total and have a run rate of almost $400 a month. I signed up to be a Adwords Professional back in 2005 but never did much with it. Relooked at the program and found they are now asking you to take a exam each year (and pay them $50) and have a run rate to spend $1000 over three months.
Well I passed the exam but I then was asked by Google to merge my Adsense and Adwords accounts. What a nightmare. After I was done they had me open a NEW account. I then lost all my requirments towards being qualified. When I asked them to help they told me they could not. Well I did fiqure out how to get back my exam so it shows I passed it (was not that hard and was suprised Google does not know how to do it). Also it shows that I have had a Adwords account for 1711 days but it reset the qualifing dollars. This represents over $600 in the last 60 days that would have gone towards my qualification. I now have to start all over and wait 90 days before I can be certified. When I asked Google to give me back my credit that they had lost by making me open a new account their response was sorry but we do not know how to fix it.
Google Adwords is the major revenue part of Google revenue and their customer service is horrible. I am still going to get cerified but I will let you know that I am going to tell everyone I know do NOT merge your Google accounts and forget about Google trying to help you as a Professional. Right now Google is the one that needs to be cerified as a Professional and based on my experience they are not even close.

I can understand Google not giving great customer service for a no income service like webmaster tools or google earth but Adwords is their primary source of income. What's worse is a Adword Professional should be someone they want to help for it means more money for them. I truely think the people in Google Adwords Customer service do not understand their roles. They do not understand that it take a lifetime to build a Good Reputation and about 5 minutes to build a Bad One.
Commission Junction customer service is light years ahead of Google and I believe they learned the hard way that without good customer service there is no way you can be a Great or even a Good company.
