Column Sort Not Being Remembered
Keeps reverting to cost |

Keep reverting to cost, with zero cost ad campaigns at the top. Normally when you change the column sorting, Google remembers. This happened some time ago, and it's happening again

Mine keeps going back to AVG CPC in ascending order. I keep changing it back to AVG CPC descending order but it won't remember it.

It's been like that for over 2 weeks now and it's getting very annoying. Usually they fix bugs like that in no time.

I recently made a similar posting about this issue: http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adwords/3365355.htm I also contacted Google and here is what they said: "the Campaign Summary page shows statistics in ascending order of cost. This is a known technical issue and our engineers are currently working to solve the problem and hope to reach a resolution shortly. Thank you for your patience."

Must not be happening to everyone. My Campaign Summary is in descending order by Impressions. I don't want to make any changes in case it does cause me to get the reporting "bug."

last time this happened, it was happening for me and it took G / AWA forever to admit it and fix it... there was a thread about it here for a while before it got any attention... seems like it would get faster traction this time around, the problem is an annoying one and a time eater (not to mention requiring extra resources on their servers by needing to constantly re-order. but, this time, it's not happening to me. good luck in getting it the attention it deserves.

Just noticed that I get the reporting problem if I sign in via My Client Center - Sorts by Cost ascending. If I log into my account directly, the sort is ok by Impressions descending.

This seems to be a recurring problem with Adwords. The last time, this problem persisted for 5-6 weeks, before being fixed. I think it probably means, that this part of the code, is badly structured, and very difficult to maintain. Maybe, they need to rewrite and clean it up.

I hoped it might be related to bad cookies or clearing ones cache but deleting each on multiple computers did not help. If they ever bother to fix it again, hopefully they'll do it for good this time around.

It keeps getting sorted by "Status" ascending or "Cost" descending even if I change it back to alphabetical (which is what I want). FIX IT.

I have fixed this problem on my account yesterday. Mine was sorting by Avg CPC in ascending order and I wanted it in descending order like it always was but it would not remember it. On the campaign summary page I tried resorting on the CTR column, then I clicked on a campagin, then I clicked the campaign summary link and it went back to AVG CPC in descending order and remembers it. I logged in on a different computer that had the same problem and it was fixed there as well without me having to do anything. I think I tried changing the column sort on the campaign summary page before and back and it did not help but I don't think I clicked on a campaign and then clicked on a link to the campaign summary page so maybe doing so resets it somehow. Sounds to simple but give it a try if you have not already as it can't hurt.

Kobayashi can you explain what you did to fix the issue. I am not sure I understand what you are doing in order to fix the column sorting issue.

Nakita_dog, go to the campaign summary page, click on a column link other than the one that is currently being sorted on (I clicked CTR), click on any campaign name link, click on the Campaign Summary link. Oddly, for me that solved it at that point. If it is still sorting by the new column you changed to, that probably means it remembered your change so then try to click on your prefered column and repeat the process to see if it continues to remember it.
