Is anyone using Google checkout? Would you share any insight on the affect on CTR? My inclination is that the enhanced visability of the icon would increase CTR, especially in very competitive/similar ad landscapes. I'm in the process of implementing this but was hoping someone else would be willing to share. Thanks.
Disclaimer: I'm not opted-in for Google Checkout... but, so far, on Yahoo Checkout (which uses the same logo), but I've seen a distinct CTR decline from the week-old icon -- of approx. 12%.
Before being auto-opted-in to this "beta", I would've guessed that CTR would be definitively increased... (whether or not conversion would be better or worse, I was undecided)... but, Yahoo - at least - has proved that a lift from a prominent icon cannot be guaranteed.
