| I thought I'd heard all the gripes about Google, until now: "Gift-giving too early" How dare they!

Wow. I got 3 picture frames! I was surprised when I opened the card and it said at the bottom: ps. Don't let our generosity make you think we want you as a customer - because we don't. Now get lost like we told you before.

Is this solely for American customers, or also in Europe? :)

We got a Google Gift the last two years, but we've got nothing yet. And yes, Google give gifts outside the US.

Got mine (in Europe) as well. I think the picture frame is a great idea! I've been thinking about one, but couldn't get aroud to actually buying it. Now they've saved me the trouble. Thanks Google! :)

How much are you all spending with G then? I'm doing a couple of grand a month on adwords but don't get anything.

I spent about $50k per month, and I don't get anything. Then again, I spend it for clients, and so only the MCC account is mine; if they send out any gifts for that it would probably be to my clients and not to me.

Gmorgan, Google's Xmas elves seem a little scattergun in their gift giving. My picture frame arrived in the UK last week, but I have friends spending a fair bit who go needy at Xmas...

I believe the gift is recommended at a city sales office level when you are the actual advertiser. I used to spend a lot more of a client's money and the client CEO got the gifts. Your level of networking with the local office may also be a factor.

I've received a gift every year for years, but nothing has shown up this year and I'm managing a bigger spend than ever.
