| Duplicate keywords

If I have hundreds or thousands of keywords in 1 campaign....what happens if by accident i add the same keywords in different adgroups? what ad gets served? how is that tracked? does google automatically erase keywords to prevent duplication? Thanks,

If they have the same CPCs, there's a good chance each will share traffic. Otherwise, one will probably be ignored. No, Google does not erase duplicate entries and, unfortunately, they do not have tools at present that will help you do that easily.
