AdWords Invalid Clicks Rate (ICR)

Since Google started showing Invalid Clicks Rate (ICR) as a reporting option within AdWords, I've been monitoring ICR on my personal AdWords campaigns (all political in nature). In my case ICR's have tended to fluctuate between 5.5% and 9.0%, for campaigns where content bids are ~1/5th search bids and still accounting for ~40% of total clicks.

I'm not sure what the AdWords T's & C's says about sharing ICR data, but I would love to hear from other advertisers what their ICR is. Anyone else want to share?

ICR? I don't see any ICR in my Google account? Where do you find this ICR?

Go to the Report section, create a custom report where you can choose the fields, and check the 'invalid clicks rate' box, then run the report.

They don't make it particularly easy to find, do they?

Hiya Shorebreak...

Interesting data - thanks for pointing it out.

Depending on the global region, I'm anywhere from 2.5% to 7.5%... the US is near the low end of the range, Asian countries at the high end.
