Somehow, I presumed personalized ads do not take more than 10% of impressions, but looking in my AdSense account at the Targeting types report for the last 30 days I see 54% personalized impressions and only 37% contextual.
Historically (if I view the report for All time since 2011), contextual ads were 2-3 times more frequent than personalized, but this year personalized ads took the lead.
Is site content less important now for ads or so many personalized ads is just on my site/in my niche (movies)? Can you share your targeting type numbers and observations?
