Adsense for Search bug - IE8 only Where and how do I report it? Lame_Wolf msg:4690643 3:52 pm on Jul 25, 2014 (gmt 0) I have found a bug that either prevents people moving from page 1 of the results, to crashing the page altogether. I recently created the "adsense for search" code (so I am referring to the latest code) and added the "search" button to a test page and the "results" to a "results page". All code validates. I have removed "google fonts" - just in case (but the bug still happens.) Cache cleared. Malware free. I've even had someone else try it, and it happens to them too. When you scroll to the bottom of the results, and then click on page 2 (or whatever page you want) - the page will refresh with the warning... this tab has been recovered a problem with this web page causes ie to close and reopen the tab If you keep doing this, the page will eventually crash altogether, with the message... We are unable to return you to example.com If anyone else has IE8 and would like to try this and report back, then great. Otherwise, which dept do I report it to please? It works okay on other browsers. My set up is XP Home, desktop. IE8 Thanks.

I have read that Google dropped support for IE8 in its services and products.. well over a year ago. Just did a search and the official date was 11/15/2012. I have been known to be wrong, but I would check that out first. Does it have the same behavior using IE8 with other WIN versions? Lame_Wolf msg:4690684 7:04 pm on Jul 25, 2014 (gmt 0)
It works if you have your results on a Google page, and it works if you use the older code (where you could choose where you want the adverts.) Just because you or your friends don't have IE8 installed, people who visit your site will have, and if it is a bug, then it will reflect on you and your site. I cannot try it with other WIN versions as I only have one PC. I did look up the error "a problem with this web page causes ie to close and reopen the tab" and it was suggested that the latest version of Java will fix such problems. I uninstalled the old version of Javaand installed the latest. Still no joy. Dropping support doesn't explain why I do not receive the error if the results appear on Google.com
