Are we all that depressed - it's taken 3 days before this thread was started!? Sign of the times.

Earnings are looking good so far although looking at them before the end of the day is just seeting myself up for major depression. Large earnings are filed down in those last few hours.

Frollocking frells, what a bad start to the month. G has already taken away almost 95% of today's earnings.

Meh. February typically my second worst month of the year, and it's starting about as expected. Meh.

Am I assuming a post-SuperBowl hangover? User numbers are very low so far today for me.

Maybe. Also the weather has been pretty brutal since the beginning of the year too. All my ecommerce clients are down in sales too; most of them B2B but their customers have been on and off closing because of cold and snow and ice.

CTR and ad relevancy seems better the last couple of days, but the CPC prices are still very low. Again for me, it's in part due to the sudden increase in foreign countries clicks.

I typically run 3 ads per page, but have cut that back to just 1 to see if that improves CPC and frankly it's the ad location which gets most of the clicks anyway. Previously, when I've tested less ads hoping the CPC would increase I saw little to no lift, but with AdSense things are always changing....worth another test.

Yes, and this is why I didn't start it this time. Bad Karma, bad luck or whatever.

I'm heading for a record day.

With the first 12 hours gone I have yet to get ONE click from the USA!.!.!

Reporting seems more delayed than usual. I am seeing much more real time data by checking AdSense in GA versus just logging straight into AdSense.

Fortunately I did not break any new low record, the USA caught-up to the UK in click volume but not EPC value, that was unusual in itself at 65% of average.

What on earth is going on again? 13 hours and not a single click so far from the USA nor India.

This is so far "out of normal" I wonder what they've broken this time?

Anyone else?

Yes. I am heading for the worst day ever.

Yup. Very bad today. Hoping it's just a case of stats needing to catch up.

Still no click movement, I've been the same for 8-10 hours plus I've added a new page that supposedly should add 10s thousands PVs and nothing, zilch...WTH is going on?

I don't know and I am not waiting any longer. I have shown Google my digitus impudicus, and pulled adsense from 2 sites. Carry on, and I will pull it from the others. I am not in the business to give out free space.

The stats get 'stuck' from time to time. You are still earning the same money, it's just not being reported as quickly as you'd like.

Really? When is it coming then ? It's been getting worse every day. Unless G is weeks behind in showing me the clicks - which I doubt very much - then what I see is what I am going to get.

It is. CTR dropped from 1.4%ish to anything as low as 0.29%

I have had arrows turned on.
I have had arrows turned off.
Text only.
Text and images.
Changed colours, fonts.
Cleared out some crap looking adverts.

Nothing seems to lift the CTR.

Earnings at best are 50% below my baseline.

Still, the sites look better without the adverts, so there is a plus side to it.

Yesterday was the best day in weeks, go figure. This following a 50% drop in January earnings from December. AdSense reporting is so messed up these days.

An absolutely diabolical performance and especially so from the USA with earnings at 31% of average, somehow the USA only registered half the clicks of the UK with an EPC of 60%.

Well and truly fubard.

Traffic is almost exactly twice what it was last year, and EPC is almost exactly half. It is what it is.

So far, at least, February is looking better for us than January did.

I'm not breaking out the Champagne, but if the trend continues, I might spring for a bottle of cava.

Brutal is not the words for it not only am I 50% January which was just over 50% the norm, today I have not had a single click despite normal levels of traffic.

Likewise, I've seen a huge dive just in the last three days after a great January. Normally my results are pretty predictable. I've never seen a drop like this one. Weird.
