Switching to text only

Have any of you tried this? My Adsense has plummeted. I assume I'm not allowed to discuss figures, but it's woeful. I've noticed that I see a lot of image ads on my site that are really nothing to do with the topic. I realise that they may be based on what other sites the visitor has viewed, but the ads are just terrible.

I've just switched to text only, what I see (which is obviously not the same for everyone) already seems better. Just wondering if anybody else has switched to text only?

Tried it and ctr tanked. Showing both text and image, allowing for competition as adsense keeps telling us to do, seems to work best for me.

I'm about 50/50. You need to test to see what works best with what ad unit. Don't believe what Google says find out for yourself.

Google cares about Google, they want what's best for them not what's best for you.

It all depends on the niche. On two of my sites, I use only text, while the other is mixed.

I normally give it 30 days of testing before I make changes.
