They day started pretty good, then since mid day, it went all south.

Been in the waiting room while my car gets repaired for hours and hours. Following these threads on my iPad via their free WiFi has helped kill the time somewhat but now I'm ready for a beer (or three!).

9:00pm - Today earnings are currently in third place for the best all month. I don't have high hopes that they'll come up too much more in the remaining three hours (though I'll be delighted if they do!)
7:35 am on Jun 20, 2013 (gmt 0)
Three super clicks this morning, on just the first 100 impressions, probably because the reporting was so messed up yesterday.
7:48 am on Jun 20, 2013 (gmt 0)
Another even more impressive superclick. Now at almost 50% of yesterday's earnings, only 48 minutes into the day.
10:31 am on Jun 20, 2013 (gmt 0)
No superclicks here, yet, but yesterday earnings did move up slightly before closing. Even though the total click count for the month so far is less than what I averaged in ONE day in 2009, the CPC is so much higher that my earnings now are only down to 1/4 of what they were. Crazy times in AdSense land.
12:40 pm on Jun 20, 2013 (gmt 0)
Was a little touch and go at the beginning of the month, but doing quite well now; should do significantly better than last year.
1:57 pm on Jun 20, 2013 (gmt 0)
Thanks Play_Bach. Problem is, since my superclicks it's been all but frozen. I either await for the stats to unstick themselves with forthcoming clicks currently unaccounted for or Adsense want it all back!
Glad to hear you're not suffering too much. I'm in a similar boat - traffic is way down since around December last year, but high CPC's don't reflect the loss as being quite nearly so bad.
Also glad to hear things are going well for you Netmeg.
What a rollercoaster ride!

Amazing day. Ctr is about the same but epc is way up.

Yesterday never got off the ground, second lowest all month. Hope today is better.

What would you consider a super click?
I've noticed nobody mentions the actual amount they earn. If this to do with Google's rules, or you just don't talk about money?

> What would you consider a super click?
3x or higher is generally what I go by. When my average click value suddenly spikes for no reason, that seems to indicate some kind of accounting fix is going on. It occurred to me awhile back that perhaps AdSense was merging multiple clicks to make one superclick, possibly both as an accounting mechanism but also maybe as some kind of safeguard to throw off those trying to game the program (though as far as I know, they've never acknowledged any such thing exists).

What would you consider a super click?
For me it is 10x higher and for a specific reason, it's when an advertiser has placed the decimal point in the wrong position i.e. they meant to do $0.50 but actually did $5.00.
I assume this is still possible since I still get these clicks however this mistake occurs during the bid process, I know since I nearly made this mistake once.
If this to do with Google's rules, or you just don't talk about money?
Ostensibly it is Google's rules, we're allowed to write about generics etc but supposedly not specifics. Everyone used to abide by that rule however these days some people do post metrics.

I've noticed nobody mentions the actual amount they earn. If this to do with Google's rules, or you just don't talk about money?
Google says you're not supposed to talk specifically about CTR, I don't remember if they mention any other metric. Most of us don't talk about money because it's nobody's business but our own - if we're not making as much as we'd like, we don't want to let that out, and if we are, we 1) don't want to rub it in to the folks who aren't and 2) don't want to encourage competitors to join or scrape our niches.
Also on WebmasterWorld as a rule we speak in a general sense and avoid specifics.
That said, as far as I'm concerned, anything above ten bucks a pop is a super click to *me*.

So far this week has been on fire. Best week ever. Very high CTR.
Made some changes last week that worked:
1) All text ads.
2) Blocked a LOT of categories that were underperforming.
We'll see if it lasts.
12:03 pm on Jun 23, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday earnings peaked at around 1:00pm and never moved past that. Very strange, especially given the traffic level. Doesn't add up. Hopefully today will be better.

Last year blew apart all previous years, and this year is blowing apart last year. Plus we sold more direct ads too. Lookin' good, Billy Ray.

Feelin' good Lewis

Congrats netmeg (again! :-)

Best day ever today. Absolutely off the hook. My sites continue to move up in the listings. Went all text ads last week, huge difference.
9:35 am on Jun 24, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday was the lowest ad requests day all month. Not surprisingly, earnings were off as well (only June 8 earnings were lower). Here's to hoping today is better. Ouch. :-(

Yesterday was my worst day, although I still earned quite a few quid. Let's see what today brings. I believe AdSense is an ongoing project, I don't think there's ever an end to it, you've got to keep on top of the game and when things slow down, maybe try different formats. I think Google favour websites that have good quality articles. The reason I believe this is a few months ago, they actually banned one of my websites because it contained material that they deemed inappropriate. Actually, they were just a bunch of rude jokes, however they wouldn't let me show Google ads on any other website until the pages were removed. I basically told them to forget that website altogether and I would just concentrate on the one website that does 99.9% of my earnings. So you can see that they didn't family altogether, just the one website. This may be down to my main website being rich in good quality content, just what Google like.

Are we not able to edit our posts? I'm using speech recognition and just realised I made some mistakes in my last post which I would like to put right.
12:47 pm on Jun 24, 2013 (gmt 0)
You only have a short window for editing, and then it times out. (Not sure what it is, but it's not long)

Yesterday, Jun 23 was the best day of this year, strange for a Sunday.
It went up really quick in the morning, by noon it was near the ending numbers of the night, strange.
That number was the usual daily GAdsense earning last year, but now you know how low and slow it's been. So, I'm happy but I'm not yet fully recovered.
11:16 pm on Jun 24, 2013 (gmt 0)
Concerned about Interest Based Ads... they underperform vs contextual, but it's not by much. It's by a little.
I'm just worried if I change something now, it could cause problems. It could cause the whole balance to come undone.
9:32 am on Jun 25, 2013 (gmt 0)
Completely and utterly fubard for me Monday and when I mean fubard I mean almost 100% with lowest-ever clicks, CTR and therefore earnings day.
Just how bad? For the first time ever the UK beat the USA by 4 clicks to 2!
I'm not joking, I've gone from 600 a day between these two to 6 ... This is just unfreakin' believeable, this programme is broken, broken, broken ... For me at least.
1:36 pm on Jun 25, 2013 (gmt 0)
HP - I'm right there with you. My click count average today, though not quite as dramatic a drop as yours, is but a tiny fraction of what it once was. On the other hand, CPC is way up so when a click does get counted, it's often many times over what used to be an average amount. Weird days in Adsense land, that's for sure.
2:41 pm on Jun 25, 2013 (gmt 0)
Whatever switch the turned on on Sunday, they turned it off yesterday.
Sunday was my new highest day this year (still low compared to previous years), but yesterday... low, low, low... ugly low. Dead all day. Strange. Servers dead? nope.
5:53 pm on Jun 25, 2013 (gmt 0)
Just had a superclick, yay! Already ahead of all day yesterday and just passed last month's earnings total too. Hope it lasts.
7:24 pm on Jun 25, 2013 (gmt 0)
I'll mention here, as this is the place to say it although things seem "stuck" to me. Yesterday was abysmal, which is an abnormal result when looking back over the past couple months. However, today things are equally flat, stuck, etc. I tend not to panic now unless it becomes days which means a trend. Just as good Karma, I'm going to say here, I'm ready for my superclick. Please come to daddy. I'm waiting with open arms!
