Niche site vs grab bag fybpm msg:4571329 10:54 pm on May 6, 2013 (gmt 0) I have a website that right now is doing a grab bag mixture of content; fitness, health, entertainment, humor and so fourth. Am I affecting the amount of money I could be making by doing this? I'm getting like global $0.25 to $0.35 CPC overall, even with nutrition and exercises, health and wellness galleries and articles. Am I better off creating one site for entertainment and humor, then another for all of my health and fitness stuff? Also, does the traffic in high volumes affect my earnings? Meaning am I just flat going to get lower CPC and RPMs with high traffic? I am getting 600,000 to 800,000 page views daily.

Create some custom channels for each of the sections on your site and let them run for a month or two and see which look the best, and then consider possibly breaking that niche off. You might find that 20% of your pages are bringing in 80% of your earnings.
